You never know. About a year ago I went to a trade show and wasn’t overly impressed with the products and services that were on display. I hung in there but decided to leave a few minutes early.

Making my way out, the Wisconsin Bucky Badger logo caught my eye. I stopped and introduced myself to a gentleman who was hosting the booth, his name was Ken Yee.

Ken and I are both Wisconsin Badger fans, so we struck up a nice conversation and moved on to discussing business. As it turns out Ken is a partner in Power Drives, a tool maker based in Hong Kong. I invited Ken to tour Crestwood so we could keep the conversation moving.

Ken lives here in Illinois, and he has an infectious personality that I was drawn to. He’s always positive and his communication skills are excellent.

Ken invited me to visit with he and his team located in Hong Kong\Shenzhen. Power Drives has become a valued partner.

I spent a day with Ken and his team, and they treated us like royalty. It was a whirlwind trip. They picked us up at 8:30 am and we traveled to the Shenzhen facility. We met the entire team, witnessed two of our tools in production, shared two great authentic meals, and concluded the day at 11:00 at night on the “peak” overlooking Hong Kong.

Power Drives takes their team and families on a three day retreat each year to celebrate accomplishments and discuss business goals.

It’s important to me and our team here at Crestwood Industries to create partnerships with other businesses that align with our values.

Thanks Ken and the Power Drives team for a productive and fun trip!

We thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone and value our partnership! A few new orders are on the way…
